Lately at Casa De Tim and Corina

First of all the move-in was CRAZY!   Especially doing all of it in this LA heat.  It was recently in the 100’s and the days and nights were pretty brutal.  I even got sick- pregnant, hot, and sick is seriously not a good combo.  Talk about feeling miserable!  It’s finally starting to get cool here, around the 80’s.  Who knows when fall weather will arrive.  I’m desperately praying for it though.

We’ve been in our new place for about a month now, and I am still working on organizing every room in this house.  It’s taking forever and moving at the pace of a snail doesn’t help me at all.  With how busy we’ve been with the new place and every other thing coming up, I haven’t had a chance to post anything.  I feel really guilty not keeping up with belly posts!  I’m due exactly 1 month from now and I haven’t had a day to relax.  Not just my body, but my mind.  Sometimes I think I do it to myself.  Maybe that’s the creative person in me, who knows.

Speaking of creative,  I’ve been working on styling Liam’s room and brainstorming style for Jace’s nursery. And on top of that,  I’ve been baking festive treats, planning Liam’s birthday party, and getting ready for Halloween.  Can you tell I like to keep busy?  It’s no wonder why I haven’t had a chance to sit down and post a few pics on the blog.  Please forgive me Jace.  Mama has her hands full at the moment and I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be nonstop when you arrive.  Looking forward to the adventure.

Here are a few photos of our latest activities.  I promise to follow up with a belly pic soon!

Our first project, besides painting Liam’s lilac walls to white, is putting together his little work table from Ikea.  This table is a steal!  Thought I’d spruce it up with some color so off to Home Depot we go!  I’ll post the DIY soon.

And in between organizing and decorating, Liam and I enjoy some homemade strawberry yogurt popsicles during the 100 degree weather.

Lately… there’s been a lot of baking.

Liam has been my little helper in the kitchen.  It takes a little patience keeping the flour in the bowl, but overall he does a great job and he LOVES it!!

Toddler-Muffins

Here is our complete batch of zucchini banana toddler muffins!  They were delicious!

We’ve been baking so much not only because I’m 36 weeks pregnant now, but also because Fall season has arrived!! The best time of the year!  I get so excited for all the holiday activities.  As of now, our October calendar is full of fun stuff so stay tuned for lots of pics!!

Happy Fall Y’all!!

15 Weeks…

I finally had the energy to start my week to week baby bump posts.  This pregnancy compared to my first, is completely different.  My first trimester I spent lots of time trying to take naps and gain my strength to actually do something productive.  No motivation whatsoever with baby #2.  I’m starting to feel much better now.  I’m still doing my yoga from time to time and trying to fit in a 2 mile walk everyday.   It’s been really hot in LA so the past week I’ve been a hermit.  I’m getting back into the routine again.  Here is my first baby bump photo with baby #2!

15 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss: Gained 10 lbs total

Exercise: Mommy and Me yoga and walks around the neighborhood.  I include lunges and squats throughout the walk.

Maternity clothes: None yet!

Sleep: I am so exhausted with baby #2 compared to my first born. I go to bed at 9-9:30pm and wake up with the worst allergies ever.

Best moment this week: Getting some of my energy back.

Tim’s best moment this week: “Corina’s fatigue and irritation with me and her nausea is getting better.”

Miss Anything: That’s easy…. BOOZE

Movement: none yet.

Food cravings: besides my top fav, I’ve been throwing down lots of gold fish puffs!! Ugh, so delish and addicting.  Just as good as Cheeto Puffs!  Lots of cold watermelon (I can eat a whole one in a day), pineapple, cupcakes, ruffles with french onion dip, and bacon.

Anything making you queasy or sick: The smell of anything cooked in a crockpot. Yuck.

Have you started to show yet: big and fast.

Belly Button in or out? In

Happy or Moody most of the time: Most of the time I try to keep my patience with a toddler running around.  My hormones kick in every now and then, but then I pull myself together after the scream. Haha!

Looking forward to: Getting a new car!!! We need a bigger automobile to fit two munchkins.  My current sports car is the size of a peanut.  It’s annoying.

Difficulties: Very very tired by the end of the day.  Sometimes I lose my energy around 10am.  It sucks.  Allergies- sneezing and stuffy nose.  I am also finding it difficult to give Liam baths.  Usually Tim is around after work to takeover.  It’s helps tremendously.

Fun Fact: Baby #2 is about 4 inches long and weighs about 2.5 ounces.

My Hospital Bag

1.  Prenatal Vitamins-  Whichever  you choose, you are going to need them if you decide to breast feed.  Baby still needs those important vitamins.  I chose Nature Made because they were affordable and included DHA as well.

2.Water proof mascara-  If you care even just a tad bit about how you are going to look in those after photos, I would suggest using this.  I still tried to avoid photos just because I was still swollen, but mascara did help open my eyes a bit.

3.  Snacks-  Lots of them!  I was snacking the entire time because I was so hungry and the hospital food wasn’t the best.  Plus, they didn’t feed me meals prior to delivery!  I had mixed nuts, crackers, soft healthy Kashi Cookies,  and I even brought a six pack of sparkling juice just in case I felt nauseous.

4.  Stretch Mark Cream-  I was really lucky up to this point that I didn’t get those unwanted stretchmarks!! Thank goodness!  However, I still came prepared with cream since your belly goes from being the size of a watermelon to the size of a cantaloupe…still squishy!

5.  Belly Bandit–  This is very important if you want that belly to go back to normal size quick! Well, ok you won’t get the six pack you had prior, but it sure does help!!  I’d like to think that this had something to do with the 20lbs I lost the first week.   I wore this for about 6 weeks, which is the required amount of time.  It can be annoying at times especially when you sleep with it on.  Since I don’t sleep much I might as well keep it on.  Ha!  No more sleep for mama!! 🙂

6.  Nursing Night Gown– This was so useful during my time spent in the hospital.  For one, the gowns they provide for you are so annoying and uncomfortable.   Liam had to eat every 2-3 hours so having this gown was quick and easy.  Snap and unsnap is all you need to do.

7.  Camera-  My Luminx camera to capture those special moments. 🙂  Love this camera!

8.  Preggie Pops–  I was really lucky that I didn’t get sick not once throughout my pregnancy.  I didn’t want to take any chances so I came prepared with Preggie Pops just in case.   These pops were great!  If I had a slight bit of nausea, I just sucked on one of these.  Apple was my fav.

9.  Natural Nipple Cream from Earth Mama Angel Baby-  The hospital gives you a tube of Lanolin, which I also used.  What I like about this cream is that it’s organic and safe for baby.  It helped a lot for sore cracked nipples.

10. Burt’s Bees Lip Balm-  Dehydration = Chapped lips.  Tim was constantly reapplying Burt’s Bees on my lips.  It was very helpful.

11. Boppy Pillow- I regret not taking my boppy pillow.  We had to stuff pillows under my arm, under Liam’s head, and anywhere else to help prop the baby up.  I was surrounded by a mountain of pillows.  It was ridiculous!  And breastfeeding is NOT easy.  The baby has to be positioned the right way.  If not, it was painful.

12. I Phone and charger-  This is a given.  I took so many photos with my phone.  As far as outgoing phone calls, I left that to Tim.  He made sure he kept everyone updated.  🙂

13.  Ipod dock-  Listen to some soft music.  It helps.

14.  Hair Ties-  I have long hair.

15.  Tooth brush, face wash, moisturizer, and shampoo/conditioner.  I didn’t want to use anything that the hospital provided.

38 Weeks!

Alright party people!!  38 weeks!! Holy smokes, time is going by really slow at this point and I am feeling really miserable.  This is probably going to be my last post with Liam in my belly so wish me luck!!

WHOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!

How far along:  38 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss: Tooooo much!

Exercise: At this point….only prenatal yoga.  Don’t want to do much anymore.

Maternity clothes:  yep, that’s it.  Leggings are really comfortable for me.

Sleep:  Not good at all!  I am up between 3am-5am just waiting for the sun to come up.  Sometimes I fall back to sleep for a couple more hours, but it’s not comfortable.  I also get up about 3-5 times to pee.  This big baby is pushing on my bladder and it is not fun.  When I can’t fall back to sleep I watch the news and drink a cup of coffee.  Later, during the day , I take a 2 hour nap.

Best moment this week:  Our maternity photoshoot with an amazing photographer (pics coming soon!) The nursery is finally done and all of Liam’s clothes are washed!!!  Tim’s mom also surprised me with another baby shower with her close friends.  Visits to my chiropractor are always the best.

Tim’s best moment this week:  “Finally finished shooting Hell’s Kitchen.  Now I have some time off to help Corina with baby stuff- choosing a pediatrician, building furniture for the nursery, and  watching football!”  😉

Miss Anything:  My energy!  Can’t do much anymore.  and putting on my shoes without having to sit down.

Movement: Everyday!  I think he is really anxious to come out already.

Food cravings: Cold watermelon, burger and fries, chocolate, grapes, and peaches.

Anything making you queasy or sick:  This month has been MISERABLE!

Have you started to show yet:  HUGE!

Belly Button in or out? In

Happy or Moody most of the time:  Annoyed- can’t breathe, can’t fit into any of my clothes, and swollen.

Looking forward to: The Big Day!  Looks like Liam is coming sooner than later. At my last visit to the doc Liam was measuring 38 weeks when I was only 36 weeks.

Difficulties:  My hands/fingers hurt in the morning, Sleeping, breathing, walking for long periods of time, swollen feet-legs-arms-face.

Fact:  I am due at any moment so this may be my last post with Liam in my belly!

34 Weeks!

The size of a cantalope…just like mommy’s ankles!!!

How far along:  34 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss: A whopping 33 lbs! That’s almost 35, which WAS my limit. :/

Exercise: Prenatal yoga when I am not working or right before work, which is around 6am.  I can’t sleep so might as well do something active.  I also take the stairs instead of the elevator.

Maternity clothes: Ok, #1…  Why are my MATERNITY jeans not fitting me anymore????!!!  WTF?!  They are tight and uncomfortable.  The stretchy maternity yoga pants are great though.  Those are the ones I look forward to putting on when I get home from work.  Target and Motherhood maternity clothes are more affordable.

Sleep:  Nooooope!  I am lucky if I go through a night without having to wake up 2-3 times to pee or to eat Tim’s Lucky Charm cereal at 3:30am.  :/  Sorry honey, Liam reeealllyy wanted those Lucky Charm’s!  My healthy Total cereal does not compare to the tasty marshmallows in the Charm box.  🙂

It is also difficult to turn in bed.  The body pillow has helped a bunch.  Liam also likes to do cartwheels and jumping jacks around 6:30am.  So I basically forgot what sleeping in was like.  And I know once Liam is born,  it’s not getting any better! Yay! :/

Best moment this week:  A prenatal massage and a visit to my chiropractor.  Holy crap prenatal massages feel A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!  I highly recommend them.  I get them twice a month and feel golden after each session.  Believe me,  I fell asleep on the table.  That’s how good it was.

Tim’s best moment this week:  “Getting through another work week and getting booked for another show after Liam’s arrival.  Keeping busy people!”

Miss Anything:  My normal walk for crying out loud!  When they say you are waddling like a duck, that means you are waddling like a damn duck.  I can’t help it.

Movement: This baby does not fit anymore!  He moves everyday and punches/kicks me several times in a row.  I can finally see my stomach move up and down.  It’s cute and weird all at the same time.

Food cravings: I now eat 2 watermelons a week!!  I LOVE cold watermelon.  Lucky Charm cereal, fruit juice, Menchies yogurt, and turkey avocado wraps.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Yeah, traffic on the 405 and slow drivers.   Also the extreme heat in the valley.

Have you started to show yet:  Pffff!  Please!

Belly Button in or out? Still in.

Happy or Moody most of the time:  Tired and out of breath.

Looking forward to: Getting the nursery done!  Painting is still in progress and furniture still needs to be ordered!  I also can’t wait for my maternity leave.  Lot’s to look forward to.

Difficulties:  Sleep, swollen feet-face-& arms, breathing, walking like a human being, keeping my hands off the pastries, and getting into Tim’s lifted 4×4 truck.  I’m going to need a step stool pretty soon.

Liam’s 3rd Ultrasound

This is it!  I finally graduated from Dr. Dohany’s  office (Liam’s doctor).  Liam is headed the right direction and let’s hope he stays that way!!  My visits will now be every 3 weeks with my OB, Dr. Kahen.  The days are flying by and I am NOW getting extremely nervous, impatient, and nervous. Did I mention nervous?  More like scared!  Haha! 1 more month of peeing every 30 minutes, waddling like a duck, and feeling like a stuffed turkey.  Oh the beauty of pregnancy.

Here is our 5 1/2 pound peanut!  Dr. Dohany tried to get a clear shot of his face, but as you can tell his foot was in the way and there was no chance of him moving it.

30 Weeks!

Baby Liam!  That’s right.  This little guy is getting bigger by the second and so is mama’s belly.  Yay!! ugh! :/  Not really….

Now that I am in the beginning of my third trimester, I am losing my mind!  Seriously…. I can’t think.  I lose everything and forget almost everything.  As you can tell from my board above, I forgot the L in little.  Plus, I have a million things going on at once.  Well maybe not a million, but enough to the point where I am extremely exhausted.  I really don’t want to think anymore.  I just want to get away and relax on a beach somewhere.

So besides that, I am now 30 weeks and just getting started with the nursery!  This weekend we are finally going to paint the room and organize all of Liam’s fabulous gifts from our friend’s and family.   Photos will be up soon!

How far along:  30 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss: Total gained…drum roll please…. 29! Holy Moly! 6 more pounds and I am at my limit.

Exercise: NOTHING AT ALL! I’ll start next week with yoga.

Maternity clothes: one word..spanx.

Sleep:  I now get really hot so I sleep with the fan blasting on high.  I love it!

Best moment this week:  Finally started our wedding website and ordered our save-the-dates.

Tim’s best moment this week: “Starting Hell’s Kitchen.  So happy that the show is local and not on the road traveling.”

Miss Anything:  Besides my wardrobe, I miss going on vacation.

Movement: Liam is doing cartwheels everyday.   It makes me happy that the little guy is moving around.  From time to time I see my belly move.

Food cravings: Chocolate, more and more watermelon, Menchies frozen yogurt, french bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, cheese, pita chips and hummus, and booze is always on the list.

Anything making you queasy or sick: pork and roast beef.

Have you started to show yet: Definitely can’t see my toes.

Belly Button in or out? In

Happy or Moody most of the time:  Exhausted.

Looking forward to: Painting the nursery!!

Difficulties:  Getting out of bed in the morning.  And I don’t mean waking up.  I have no problems with getting up early.  The problem is sitting up.  I want to roll off the bed like a rollie pollie.  Oh, and back pain! lots of it.
