Liam’s 3rd Ultrasound

This is it!  I finally graduated from Dr. Dohany’s  office (Liam’s doctor).  Liam is headed the right direction and let’s hope he stays that way!!  My visits will now be every 3 weeks with my OB, Dr. Kahen.  The days are flying by and I am NOW getting extremely nervous, impatient, and nervous. Did I mention nervous?  More like scared!  Haha! 1 more month of peeing every 30 minutes, waddling like a duck, and feeling like a stuffed turkey.  Oh the beauty of pregnancy.

Here is our 5 1/2 pound peanut!  Dr. Dohany tried to get a clear shot of his face, but as you can tell his foot was in the way and there was no chance of him moving it.

Play-Doh Baby- Ultrasound #1

After a short commercial break….We’re back!

Tim and I have been rocking through a very exciting yet slightly stressful two weeks.. Yes peeps,we are STILL trying to get settled into the new place!  Tim is working hard for the Huggies with long days on a show and it seems the chores/housework/unpacking/getting to know our way around the new neighborhood is hectic at best. Thank goodness we have great friends who live IN our building showing us the ropes!

I also took a trip to Texas to see my family and close friends.  I was sooo happy to spend some time with everyone and also really sad to leave so soon.

Currently, we are still unpacking boxes!  Oh, what fun it is to move.  :/ The new pad is amazing although we have already gotten a complaint for walking to loudly by our “wonderful” new neighbors downstairs.. Besides that little issue, the good news is that we have lots more room and a nursery for Liam, which is completely empty at the moment.  We plan to paint the room and at some point, I have to do some shopping.

So besides the move, work, my trip home, and the baby on the way, we are also planning for other events coming soon….ie. The Baby shower in July AND OUR WEDDING in 2013!  I will fill you in on the details at a later time.  🙂

For a special treat, we would like to share with you our first ultrasound that was done back in March.  Tim worked very hard not to smash his Mac against the wall at some points during this process.. And if it wasn’t for the help from Martin and Coleman this may have NEVER gotten done..I know, it was a while back, but Tim and I have finally completed the 2 minute movie!!!! Hold on to your hats people! Next stop, THE PLAY-DOH BABY!! enjoy…

Guess What?!

IT’S A…

I can’t tell you enough how anxious we were to find out the sex of the baby!!  Excitedly, Tim and I walked into our “Fetal Anatomical Survey, Level 2 Sono”. Most commonly referred to as an Ultrasound..

I got weighed in at 149 lbs.. Tim was 209 lbs!! Ive gained a total of 5 lbs and Tim has gained 14lbs!!! Whose pregnant!? Jeeez!

So I get papered up and the Tech comes in and the first thing she asked was, “So do you know what we are doing today?” I immediately stutter out “find out the sex of the baby; 80% accuracy anyway”. She responds with a small laugh and says, “Well yes, but we are actually going to determine the health of the baby through some measurements and make sure he/she is ok”. Tim and I look at each other and gosh we were so anxious to know that Tim was right, that we failed to fully realize there was waaay more at stake here than just the sex of our baby…

Spina Bifida, Down syndrome, heart defects, cleft palate, Cystic Fibrosis, and internal abnormalities are just a FEW problems this Ultrasound can discover.. Now. Tim and I are a little nervous. Tim tells me he is worried because he is older and I didn’t think I could get prego in the first place! Well, Let’s get this party started! Bring on the “wand”

Holy smokes the pictures are AMAZING!! Tim can’t stop smiling and I am blown away by the technology we have in 2012!! Tim counted fingers and toes and I wondered who the baby would look like.   The whole exam took about an hour and some.. Internal “wand” and then a “hand sander” looking thing for the external exam.. All Tim and I heard was “normal”, “this is normal”, “checking blood flow; normal”, “aorta, normal; pulmonary artery, normal”. Did you know that the pulmonary and aortic arteries could be backwards!?!? Wow.. Thank you technology.. Thank you very much..The exam also checked my uterus, placenta and blood flow.. Apparently, I am ALL GOOD!!

The bottom line..Mom and Baby are HEALTHY!!!  (Dad is alright)

And now that we know, we can proceed with the baby planning.

We also decided on a name…
